India Emerges as a Major Contributor to Asia’s Best Workplaces 2026

New Delhi, Sep 10: India has emerged as one of the strongest contributors to Asia’s leading workplaces, with 34 Indian organisations featuring among the 100 large companies recognised in the Asia’s Best Workplaces 2026 list.

India also accounted for six organisations in the small and medium-sized enterprise category, highlighting the growing focus on workplace culture, employee experience and trust across businesses in the country.

BFSI and IT lead India’s representation

According to the latest workplace rankings, a significant share of the Indian organisations recognised in the large-company category comes from the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and information technology sectors.

The findings indicate that companies are increasingly placing greater emphasis on creating workplaces where employees feel respected, supported and connected with their organisations.

Strong employee experience remains a key factor

The report found that 93 per cent of employees across Asia’s recognised best workplaces consider their organisation a great place to work. The overall Trust Index Grand Mean stood at 91 per cent.

The rankings also showed that employees at leading workplaces reported strong levels of workplace safety, inclusion, fairness and pride in their organisations.

Small and medium-sized companies performed particularly well, recording a 96 per cent positive workplace experience sentiment compared with 91 per cent among large organisations. Their Trust Index score also stood higher at 93 per cent, against 89 per cent for large companies.

Focus shifts towards skills and employee development

The findings also point to a growing emphasis on capability building, with leading workplaces strengthening their efforts in employee training and professional development.

This focus is becoming increasingly important as businesses face rapid changes in technology, skills and workplace expectations. Companies that invest in learning opportunities can help employees adapt to changing roles while building stronger internal talent pipelines.

Government and social services among top performers

Social Services and Government Agencies emerged as the highest-performing industry category across the sectors covered by the ranking, recording a 97 per cent positive workplace experience sentiment.

Overall, the 2026 rankings highlight how employee trust, workplace culture, safety, fairness and opportunities for development are becoming important elements of organisational performance.

India’s strong representation in the list also reflects the increasing attention businesses are giving to employee experience as they compete for skilled talent and work to build more resilient organisations.
