Swiggy, India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform, has rolled out specialized cooling vests to enable its delivery partners to beat the heat this summer season. These innovative, lightweight jackets are engineered to regulate body temperature without the need for external power, providing essential relief for delivery partners navigating extreme heat across multiple cities.

The passive cooling jacket is a low-cost, antimicrobial, technical solution which utilizes advanced evaporative cooling principles. When saturated with water, the specialized fabric slowly releases moisture to draw heat away from the body, providing a temperature reduction of 6-7°C for 3-4 hours per soak. Specifically designed for hot and dry environments (above 40 °C), the jacket is durable for up to two summer seasons. It also features a unisex, customizable design available in multiple (3) sizes to ensure proper fit for all.

Built around the everyday realities of delivery work, the effort focuses on simple, practical solutions that can make a difference where it matters most. Designed for ease of use and comfort, these vests have been rolled out in partnership with Shell Foundation under its SPACES (Scaling Passive Affordable Cooling for Environmental Sustainability)
