Nov 05: Reaffirming its commitment towards holistic community welfare and child well-being, PAN Health has extended its corporate social responsibility banner, Smile Matters, with a pan-India festive outreach programme titled “Diwali Dil Se – Bas Yehi Hai Humari Diwali.”

PAN Health’s ‘Smile Matters’ Reaches 51 Bal Gruhs Nationwide to Celebrate Community-Led Diwali

Coordinated across 51 districts and regional clusters, the initiative brought festive warmth to more than 4,500–6,000 children living in Bal Gruhs and orphanages. Organized on the occasion of Diwali, the celebrations united PAN Health’s regional operational leads, distribution partners, and child welfare administrators for a day dedicated to companionship, mindful celebration, and shared joy.

Rooted in PAN Health’s belief that wellness encompasses environmental sustainability and emotional happiness, the celebrations were planned around the central message: “No crackers. Just diyas, smiles and togetherness.”

Each gathering was co-designed alongside orphanage staff to prioritize the children’s comfort, safety, and routines. The celebrations featured traditional diya lighting, storytelling, dance, music, painting, craft and multi-lingual Antakshari sessions. Specially prepared festive snacks and sweet boxes were distributed to every child and resident caregiver. Moving beyond conventional Diwali campaigns heavily driven by marketing spends and ads, the company representatives and local channel partners spent dedicated hours on activities alongside the children, fostering a shared environment of warmth and belonging.

“The festive season often accentuates the contrast between private celebrations and institutional life for children in alternative care. Through Smile Matters, our responsibility goes beyond statutory obligations - we look at well-being through an inclusive, dignity-first lens. Diwali Dil Se is our humble endeavor to ensure that children in our community care systems experience genuine warmth, laughter, and personal connection. We deliberately chose “No crackers. Just diyas, smiles and togetherness” to advocate for healthier environments for our children,” said Mr Chirag Pan, Managing Director & CEO, PAN Health.

The scale of activating across 51 Bal Gruhs and orphanages simultaneously was achieved through PAN Health’s localized field presence. Area Sales Managers coordinated directly with local child welfare institutions and district stakeholders, ensuring compliance with institutional child protection standards, dignity-centric media protocols, and dietary preferences.

The celebrations brought together PAN Health’s leadership and team members, along with distributors, stockists and their families, to spend time with children at Bal Gruhs and orphanages, sharing moments of joy and togetherness.

PAN Health plans to expand its Smile Matters engagements through structured community interventions focusing on health, preventive hygiene, and developmental wellness across child-care homes throughout the upcoming operational year.
