Aster Medcity Celebrates Milestone of over 5,000 Successful Joint Replacement Surgeries; Actress Asha Sharath Interacts with Recovered Patients

Kochi, Nov 02: Aster Medcity has successfully completed over 5,000 successful joint replacement surgeries. To mark this milestone, an event titled 'Ballerina' was organized in connection with Kerala Piravi Day, featuring acclaimed actress Asha Sharath as the chief guest, who interacted with patients that successfully recovered from joint ailments. 

The milestone of 5,000+ joint replacement surgeries was accomplished under the leadership of Dr. Vijaya Mohan S., Senior Consultant and Head of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department, and his team. Among these, more than 500 surgeries were performed using cutting-edge robotic joint replacement technology. 

"Successfully completing 5,000 joint replacement surgeries is a testament to the excellence and advanced technology of Aster Medcity's Orthopaedics Department. It brings immense joy to see people who once struggled to even walk due to severe joint pain now fully recovered and joined for this gathering." said Dr. Vijaya Mohan. 

As part of the celebrations, a Thiruvathirakkali performance featuring Asha Sharath alongside the Orthopaedics Department staff drew attention. Dressed in traditional Kerala attire, patients who regained mobility through joint replacement surgeries joined doctors and staff, making the event a memorable experience. 

Aster Medcity COO Dr. Shuhaib Khader, Chief of Medical Services Dr. T. R. John, Department of Industries Additional Chief Secretary A. P. M. Mohammed Hanish IAS, celebrity couple Nikhil and Ramya, along with doctors from the Orthopaedics Department and other staffs were also present at the event.
