ASCI Conducts Training Programme for State Public Service Commission Chairpersons/Members on Advanced Interview Techniques

Hyderabad, April 21 (BNP): The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, is conducting a three-day high-level training programme on Advanced Interview Techniques for Personality Assessment for Chairpersons and Members of State Public Service Commissions (PSCs) from April 20 to 22, 2026.

The programme has drawn participation from several states, including Shri Dilip Kumar Chakma, IAS (Retd), Chairman, Tripura PSC; Shri Vivek I. Bhimanwar, IAS, Chairman, Maharashtra PSC; Shri Hasmukh Patel, Chairman, Gujarat PSC; along with members from Punjab, Bihar, Nagaland, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu.

The initiative aims to strengthen the quality and objectivity of recruitment processes by enhancing interview methodologies for assessing candidates’ personality traits, behavioural attributes, and suitability for public service roles. Key themes include psychological aspects of interviews, behavioural assessment, identifying authentic responses, and competency-based evaluation techniques, with insights from global best practices.

Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor, Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University and former Chairman, Telangana PSC, delivered the inaugural address.

The sessions are led by eminent experts from academia, administration, and industry. The programme is expected to equip participants with contemporary tools to enhance fairness and effectiveness in public service recruitment.
