PRP Group Takes Employee Engagement Beyond the Workplace with 15th Anniversary Cruise

Oct 12: The Gurugram-headquartered, PRP Group, an integrated communications group recently marked its 15th Foundation Day with a two-night cruise getaway aboard Cordelia Cruise, sailing from Mumbai. Bringing together team members from across its offices and geographies, the celebration swapped conference rooms and conventional anniversary events for the sea, shared experiences and time spent together away from work. Founded in 2011 by Dr. Sarvesh Tiwari, PRP Group has grown from a public relations agency into an integrated communications organisation with a team of more than 250 professionals, over 500 brands served, 14 offices across India and six international offices. Its services span public relations, corporate communications, digital and social media, video production, advocacy, reputation management and crisis communications. For the group, however, the 15th Foundation Day focused on more than celebrating business growth. It was an opportunity to bring together people who work across different locations and teams, recognise their contribution to the organization’s journey, and create memories beyond the workplace.

“Fifteen years is not just a milestone for an organisation; it is a reflection of the people, relationships, ideas and collective effort that have shaped its journey. We wanted to celebrate this milestone differently. Taking our team offshore was our way of stepping away from the conventional and creating an experience that everyone could be a part of and remember. PR is an industry built around people, relationships and experiences, and it felt only right that our 15th year should be celebrated together, in a setting that was as memorable as the milestone itself,” said Dr. Sarvesh Tiwari, Founder and Managing Director, PRP Group.

Beyond its corporate work, PRP Group has also undertaken social welfare initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation provided food and ration support to around 500 stranded migrant workers, advocated for hundreds of Indians stranded in Japan and committed to covering the educational expenses of 135 children who lost their parents during the pandemic until the eldest earning member of their respective families becomes financially independent.

The group’s civic engagement initiatives include #IOwnGurugram, a community-led campaign encouraging citizens, corporates and communities to take greater ownership of the city’s well-being and work alongside authorities to address civic and infrastructure challenges. Fifteen years on, PRP Group’s cruise getaway offered a different way to mark a corporate milestone—one that put its people at the centre of the celebration. And for a company whose work revolves around stories, relationships and experiences, taking its own team on a cruise may just have been a fitting way to celebrate the journey so far.
