New Delhi, 27 October 2026: MIT India today inaugurated the Industry Institute Engagement Summit (IES) 2026 at Radisson Blu Plaza, New Delhi, bringing together participants and delegates from across industry, academia, government, entrepreneurship and investment ecosystems. The summit provided a national platform for leaders and stakeholders to engage, collaborate and build stronger pathways for talent, innovation and entrepreneurship. IES 2026 comes at a time when artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and changing workforce expectations are reshaping organisations and the skills required for the future

The event brought together Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum; Mr. Rajit Sikka, Regional Head, Academic Alliances, North India, TCS; Mr. Digvijay Karad, Group Director, MIT India; Dr. Shitalkumar A. Jain, Director, CRPC; Mr. Nalin, President, NHRD; Ms. Nimisha Pathak, General Manager, HR, Samsung Electronics Ltd.; and Mr. Vinayak Godse, CEO, Data Security Council of India (DSCI).

The opening addresses highlighted the importance of closer collaboration between educational institutions and industry as technology, business models and workforce expectations continue to evolve. The discussions emphasised the need for stronger ecosystems that connect leadership, talent, innovation, entrepreneurship, policy and capital to create long-term opportunities and impact.

The summit brought together multiple platforms including the MIT India National Level Hackathon Grand Finale, MIT India Capital Nexus, HR Summit, HR Leadership Awards and invitation-only Round Tables.

Mr. Digvijay Karad, Director, MIT India, said, “IES 2026 is a reflection of our belief that the future of talent, innovation and entrepreneurship can only be shaped when academia, industry and the wider ecosystem come together with a shared purpose. Bringing the Grand Finale to New Delhi gives this platform a national dimension, creating opportunities for students, startups, industry leaders, investors and institutions to engage with one another and build meaningful partnerships. Our endeavour through IES is to move beyond conversations and create an ecosystem where ideas, talent and opportunities can come together to drive meaningful and lasting impact.”

IES 2026 builds on MIT India’s engagement journey across Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, with the 2026 edition being hosted in New Delhi, where enterprise, policy and governance converge. By bringing together decision-makers, educators, entrepreneurs, investors and future talent, the summit seeks to strengthen long-term collaboration and contribute to a more future-ready ecosystem for talent, innovation and entrepreneurship in India.
