Miss Diva Cosmo 2025 Avani Kakekochhi Launches RiGas in Bengaluru, Championing LPG Safety Through Innovation and Social Impact

Bengaluru, 16 October 2026: Bringing together technological innovation, social responsibility and purpose-driven leadership, Miss Diva Cosmo 2025 Avani Kakekochhi, India's official representative at Miss Cosmo 2026, launched RiGas, an innovative LPG Management System, at a press conference held in Bengaluru today. The launch marks a significant milestone in her commitment to advancing LPG safety awareness and promoting preventive solutions to protect households, institutions and communities.

The product was inaugurated by Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and guests at the Laghu Udyog Bharati,  Karnataka Auditorium, Bengaluru.

Developed under the leadership of Avani Kakekochhi, Director, Supram Technologies and Services Pvt. Ltd., RiGas represents a technology-led approach to LPG safety and management. Designed to support LPG-risk alerts, improve emergency preparedness and facilitate cylinder tracking and replenishment, the innovation seeks to address a critical concern affecting millions of LPG-dependent households and establishments across India. Under the guiding philosophy, "Every Home Deserves Tomorrow," RiGas extends beyond a technological solution to form the foundation of a larger social impact initiative, dedicated to building a culture of awareness, prevention and timely response to LPG-related risks.

A Personal Tragedy Inspiring a Larger Mission

For Avani, the inspiration behind RiGas is deeply personal. Having lost her aunt in an LPG-related accident during the COVID-19 pandemic, she witnessed firsthand the devastating emotional and financial consequences that such incidents can have on families. This experience strengthened her resolve to develop an innovation that could contribute to preventing similar tragedies.

Driven by the belief that safety should be a fundamental part of everyday life, Avani aims to make LPG safety awareness as accessible and familiar as first aid, empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge to recognise risks, respond effectively and prioritise preventive measures.

Through her associated fire safety advocacy, Project Suraksha, Avani is working to take this message beyond technology and into communities, encouraging conversations around household safety, emergency preparedness and responsible LPG usage. In collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Project Suraksha aims to expand the reach of RiGas and LPG safety awareness to households across India, with the ambition of making preventive technology and safety education more accessible to the communities that need them most.

A key pillar of Avani’s advocacy is also to make 1906, India’s national LPG emergency helpline, as familiar to every citizen as 100, ensuring that people know where to turn for assistance in an LPG-related emergency. Through greater public awareness, community engagement and education, she hopes to make emergency preparedness an instinctive part of everyday life.

From Karnataka to Communities Across India

With its roots in Karnataka, the initiative underscores the state’s growing contribution to indigenous innovation and socially responsible entrepreneurship.

The RiGas initiative has already received recognition through an Elevate award and a grant of ₹11 lakh from the Government of Karnataka, providing an impetus to its development and wider outreach.

As part of its proposed social impact roadmap, the initiative aims to engage policymakers, public representatives, safety professionals, LPG distributors, educational institutions, corporate social responsibility partners and community organisations. Its collaboration with BPCL through Project Suraksha is intended to further strengthen outreach and support the adoption of LPG safety practices across households and communities.

Its outreach strategy includes LPG safety awareness workshops in schools, residential communities and women’s groups, the development of regional-language educational resources, and collaborations to improve access to safety equipment, professional guidance and preventive support.

The initiative has set an initial target of reaching 10,000 people and helping make 1,000 homes or establishments safer within its first year. Over the next three to five years, it aspires to scale its outreach to one million individuals and 100,000 homes or establishments through partnerships, awareness programmes and technological intervention.

Taking Indian Innovation and Purpose to the Global Stage

An aerospace engineer, entrepreneur and accomplished Bharatanatyam artist from Bengaluru, Karnataka, Avani Kakekochhi represents a multifaceted generation of Indian women who are redefining leadership through the convergence of technology, enterprise, culture and social responsibility.

Working alongside her father at Supram Industries, she contributes to India's Make in India vision through her involvement in indigenous innovation and manufacturing. Alongside her entrepreneurial pursuits, she is the founder of the Trayee School of Fine Arts, where she mentors students between the ages of four and 55, promoting the preservation and appreciation of India's classical performing arts. A recipient of the prestigious Ministry of Culture scholarship, Avani has showcased her artistic excellence at prominent platforms, including the G20 Summit, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

As India's official delegate to Miss Cosmo 2026, scheduled to take place in Vietnam this December, Avani will bring her LPG safety advocacy to an international platform, amplifying conversations around preventive technology, community awareness and the importance of safeguarding lives. Her participation reflects the evolving significance of global pageantry as a platform for meaningful advocacy, cultural representation and tangible social impact. Through RiGas and her larger fire safety mission, Avani seeks to demonstrate how an innovation born out of a personal experience in Karnataka can inspire a wider movement for safer homes and stronger communities, both nationally and internationally.

With the launch of RiGas in Bengaluru, Avani Kakekochhi reinforces a compelling message: meaningful innovation is not merely about developing technology, but about using it to protect lives, preserve livelihoods and secure a safer tomorrow.
