Designed for every hour and every occasion, Rola combines masterfully crafted plates with warm, unpretentious hospitality.
Aug 17: Mumbai: Bandra has a new address, and it is a loud one. Rola has opened its doors as the neighbourhood's newest all-day diner, bringing together breakfast, lunch, dinner, Neapolitan pizzas, home-style curries and specialty coffee under one roof, all from a single kitchen where every dish feels equally considered. The day starts with the coffee cart out front and never really loses that energy, whether you're in for the first flat white of the morning or a late dinner with friends.
The name says it all. Rola is inspired by the best kind of noise, the laughter around a full table, clinking coffee cups, shared plates making their way across the room and conversations that linger long after the meal. It's this joyful energy that gives the diner its name. Outside, a charming coffee cart welcomes guests before they even step through the door. The space extends into a total capacity of 70 guests across both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a space for every kind of gathering, whether it’s friends catching up, siblings debating over the bill, first dates or colleagues escaping the workday for a leisurely meal.
"For me, hospitality has always been about people. Good food is important, but it's the conversations, the warmth and the feeling of wanting to stay a little longer that people remember. That's the experience we wanted to create with Rola," says Puneet Anand, Founder, Rola.
The Food
Breakfast is where Rola sets its pace, and the Breakfast & Brunch Club runs from the Bombay Keema & Brun, featuring slow-cooked spiced mutton keema, a fried egg and buttered pav, to Benedict Goes Bandra, where toasted brioche, grilled chicken salami, silky hollandaise and tandoori pineapple salsa come together in an unexpectedly memorable combination.
The House Kitchen is Rola's tribute to home cooking, drawing inspiration from the recipes of mothers, grandmothers and khansamas across India. Khansama's Nihari, a slow-cooked nalli nihari rich with marrow and fragrant spices, sits alongside Maa's Sunday Mutton Masala, a deeply comforting home-style curry served with buttered pav, celebrating familiar flavours executed with care.
The Neapolitan pizzas bring a playful character of their own, from the Kejriwal Pizza, topped with a sunny-side-up egg, green chillies and cheese, to the Truffle Malai Chicken Tikka Pizza, which reimagines a beloved Indian classic on a beautifully blistered base. Desserts continue the story with equal confidence, from the nostalgic Chai & Parle-G Cheesecake to the silky Basque Cheesecake finished with raspberry compote.
The Coffee Program
At Rola, coffee is the beverage programme, and it's treated with the same seriousness as the rest of the menu. It starts with the outdoor coffee cart and extends into a full, thoughtfully curated menu, from classic espresso-based pours like the Flat White and Hot Spanish Latte to inventive house signatures including the Mint Charcoal Mocha, Sea Salt Vanilla Mocha, Coffee Tonic and a rich Affogato. Whether it's the first coffee of the morning or an afternoon pause between meetings, the programme has been built to make Rola as much a coffee destination as it is a diner.
At its heart, Rola is more than an all-day diner. It is a neighbourhood table designed to become part of everyday life, where thoughtful food, specialty coffee and genuine hospitality come together with ease. Because while menus will evolve and trends will come and go, the simple joy of gathering around a full table never goes out of style.
