ASSOCHAM Signs Strategic MoU with Bombay Industries Association to Strengthen Industry Representation and Economic Development

Mumbai, Apr 20: ASSOCHAM has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Bombay Industries Association to enhance industry representation, policy advocacy, and collaborative economic development initiatives across state and national levels.

The partnership aims to create a structured platform for industry engagement by enabling joint consultations, facilitating policy inputs, and promoting domestic as well as international business interactions. Through this collaboration, both organisations will work towards driving trade, investment opportunities, and strengthening India’s industrial ecosystem.

Under the MoU, ASSOCHAM and BIA will focus on key areas including industry representation, policy advocacy, business delegations, capacity building, and initiatives aligned with ease of doing business reforms. The collaboration will also support sectoral knowledge-sharing and skill development programmes aimed at enhancing industry competitiveness.

The agreement was formalised in Mumbai in the presence of senior leadership, including Rajesh Doshi, President of BIA, and Milind Hardikar, Chairman of ASSOCHAM Maharashtra State Council.

This strategic alliance marks a significant step towards strengthening the collective voice of industry while fostering closer collaboration between businesses and policymakers. It further reinforces ASSOCHAM’s commitment to promoting a conducive business environment and supporting sustainable economic growth through strong institutional partnerships.
