Apollo Hospitals Financial District Launches 24/7 Stroke Command Centre to strengthen Emergency Care

Hyderabad, October 31: Apollo Hospitals Financial District has launched a 24/7 Stroke Command Centre on the occasion of World Stroke Day to strengthen emergency stroke care through faster coordination, improved pre-hospital services and greater public awareness.

Dr.G.Ranjith Consultant Neurologist Apollo Hospitals Financial District said Stroke is a time-critical medical emergency where every minute is crucial in preventing permanent brain damage and saving lives. The newly launched command centre will function as a central coordination hub, connecting surrounding hospitals, healthcare professionals, ambulance services and communities to ensure faster access to specialised stroke treatment.

Dr.Vemula Srikanth Consultant Neurologist Apollo Hospitals Financial District said the initiative aims to improve awareness of stroke symptoms, promote early identification and ensure prompt emergency response. It will also streamline the transfer of suspected stroke patients to Apollo Hospitals by strengthening communication between referring hospitals, ambulance teams and stroke specialists.

Mr.Harkaran, Chief Operating Officer Apollo Hospitals Financial District said the 24/7 facility will facilitate early notification of suspected stroke cases, enabling the medical team to prepare in advance and reduce delays after patients reach the hospital. This coordinated approach is expected to help minimise door-to-needle time for eligible patients requiring intravenous thrombolysis, improving the chances of better treatment outcomes.

The centre will also focus on strengthening the network between hospitals and emergency services, ensuring that patients receive timely medical attention, from the first point of contact to definitive treatment.

Apollo Hospitals reiterated its commitment to taking advanced stroke care beyond hospital walls by building a connected healthcare network, empowering communities with knowledge and improving access to time-sensitive treatment.

The hospital emphasised that recognising stroke symptoms early, seeking immediate medical assistance and ensuring rapid access to specialised care are essential to saving lives and preserving brain function.
