Mumbai, Sept 02:- Ceolla, a new Indian beauty and personal care brand, has officially launched with a mission to bridge the gap between dermatologist-grade science and luxurious, sensorial body care. Founded by industry veteran Yashika, former K-beauty portfolio manager at Nykaa with background experience supporting global giants like L’Oréal and Sephora, Ceolla introduces a prevention-first approach designed to protect the skin barrier and support the natural microbiome.
The idea for Ceolla emerged from Yashika’s personal struggle with eczema-prone, sensitive skin. Finding herself trapped between clinical, joyless pharmacy products and sensory mass-market body lotions laden with harsh sulfates and excessive fragrances, she set out to create a balanced alternative. Ceolla’s entire range is balanced with elevated textures IFRA-compliant fragrances, while ensuring formulations which have real efficacy are gentle enough for compromised skin barriers.
“For too long, the beauty industry has forced consumers to choose between products that feel good and products that actually work,” said Yashika, Founder of Ceolla. “We are challenging the myth that sensorial body care has to ruin your skin barrier. Ceolla is built on the philosophy of prevention over cure, building skin resilience upfront so consumers don’t have to constantly treat avoidable concerns like irritation, ingrown hairs, or severe dryness later on.”
Ceolla makes history as the first brand in India to incorporate Ectoin into body care. A powerful, extremophile-derived ingredient widely celebrated in Japanese, Korean, and French pharmacy skincare for its ability to repair and shield the skin barrier against environmental stressors like pollution, humidity, and temperature shifts.
The brand’s debut lineup features three core formulations:
● Balance Body Wash: A sulfate-free, paraben-free cleanser enriched with soothing botanicals. Formulated to target bad bacteria while protecting beneficial skin flora, it delivers zero post-shower dryness.
● Balance Body Lotion: Built on a three-layer hydration system incorporating hyaluronic acid and Aquaxyl, this lightweight formula provides continuous 24-hour moisture retention and prevents transepidermal water loss.
● Balance Post-Shave Balm: A pioneering, gender-neutral balm thoughtfully formulated for both the face and body. Created to care for skin after shaving, waxing, or threading, it instantly calms redness, soothes sensitive and intimate areas, and helps protect against minor cuts, irritation, and skin infections. With gentle antiseptic properties, it helps keep freshly treated skin clean while reducing the risk of irritation and ingrown hair. Its lightweight, non-comedogenic formula also helps smooth rough, uneven texture and provides lasting comfort without the heaviness or pore-clogging feel of traditional creams.
Despite being on the market for just five months, Ceolla is earning rapid traction. The brand sold out its initial inventory within its first month on dermatologist-focused platform Clinikally, earned organic endorsements from top dermatologists, and currently maintains a strong 30% customer repeat rate.
Ceolla plans to expand into major e-commerce platforms including Nykaa, Myntra, Tira, and quick-commerce channels within the next four months. Over the next three years, the brand aims to expand into hair care, retail pharmacy distribution, and select international markets across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
