Amrit Bhawan Introduces a New Suite of Experiences That Reframe Haridwar Beyond Ritual

New Delhi, Apr 17: –At a time when many journeys to Haridwar remain centred around ritual and religion, Amrit Bhawan is quietly reimagining how the city can be experienced. The riverside heritage retreat has introduced a new set of thoughtfully layered experiences that invite guests to engage with the destination through stillness, landscape, and lived culture rather than itinerary.

 

At the heart of this evolution is the restoration of the property’s private ghat. Now reimagined with a more open, accessible layout, the space allows for unhurried time by the river, whether through morning yoga, small gatherings, or moments of pause, while retaining the intimate, residential character that defines the eight-room home.

Beyond the immediate riverfront, the experiences extend into the surrounding region. A half-day journey into a village in Pauri Garhwal offers a glimpse into the rhythms of hill life from shared meals in local homes to walks that open into Himalayan views. Closer to Haridwar, a sunrise rose plucking experience, developed in collaboration with Perfume Tourism Kannauj, traces the journey of flowers from cultivation to distillation, revealing a quieter layer of the region’s relationship with scent, ritual, and craft.

Within the house, a seasonal summer menu has also been introduced, drawing on cooling ingredients and regional flavours from buraansh sherbet and imli soda to simple pahadi dishes that reflect the landscape as much as the season.
